2. How can ballroom dancing enhance socialization and develop personality?

I rlly love dance! I was wondering what are good schools for Performing Arts/Dance in either the states of NY,VT,MA,RI,NJ,and CT.Where they offer ballroom dancing and/or instructing.

I can understand him failing Math, English and History, but flunking Ballroom Dancing, is even much for an idiot like Rush Limbaugh.

I would like to compete so like learn a dance then like compete in ballroom and get scored. I have no experience what so ever in ballroom dancing but i am thinking they will teach it to me. Does Arthur Murray have like teams. thank you

porccupine- I loved Barbara Edens commentary on a ballroom dancing show some years back.
leah- The break dancing in the 1984 closing ceremony Olympics is a most memorable vision … I’ve looked everywhere trying to get a copy of that extravaganza.
HDB- I wish there was break dancing when I was a kid … I would have loved to get my licks in.
Break dancing was definitely a step up in the evolution of the activity.
Watching this dance contest show and can’t believe some of these high marks … I’ve seen better dancing outside the bathroom door.
It’s an international contest … the Yanks just did an act of "street dancing" … the marks are coming in now … WOO HOO! … all 9’s and 10’s … by far, the best act of the night … USA goes into first place!

Overule- Got goosebumps recalling West Side Story … gotta be my fav musical.
The high school dance scene was awesome too … when Tony and Maria meet.

I’m just wondering, are Keds or Vans suitable for ballroom dancing? Even Converse, sneakers or something like that. I don’t have the money to spend on shoes that I’ll probably only use for a few months. Would it be okay to use these kinds of shoes as long as I clean it?

I’m looking for a restaurant with a dance floor for ballroom dancing in the Cleveland area. Any suggestions?
